Hi! I'm Margreet
Your native Dutch teacher, here to help you learn this beautiful language. I made the career switch to start teaching Dutch online in 2020. I have since done over 3000 one-on-one lessons. In 2023, I started an Instagram to help others learn the Dutch language in bite-size videos and posts. This led to me writing and publishing a book to explain and practice the 45 most common verbs in Dutch.
Seeing my students succeed and pass their exams for Dutch citizenship with flying colors is what really drives me. I know from experience how difficult it can be to learn a new language, and have acquired B1 certificates in French and German, a B2 certificate for Spanish, and C2 in English. I see myself as a forever student, and I like to use what I learn from my experience learning a foreign language.
Now, let me tell you a little more about myself. I have lived in England, Portugal, and Spain, and I have now permanently moved to Spain. When I arrived, the language barrier was intimidating, to say the least. As time passed and I gained more vocabulary, I saw my confidence grow. That is what I want to help others with: to express themselves and be themselves in a foreign language. Once you speak the language, a whole new world opens up.
